For the past 22 years, Mayarani Smith has provided mortgages for first-time homebuyers, investors, and those with less than perfect credit.  She is employed with Canyon Mortgage Corporation as a Senior Loan Officer Broker/Lender for Commercial, Residential, Construction and Hard Money mortgages.  She holds a designation as a National Commercial Real Estate Advisor and Certified Real Estate Investment Planning Specialist.  She is the Regional Vice President of NAREB Ambassador, NAREB Region II for New York and New Jersey and is the President of The Minority Real Estate Professionals, The North Jersey Chapter of NAREB.  Having owned Mayarani Consultants Inc, her computer-consulting firm for over 30 years, working in the investment banking Mergers & Acquisitions departments with Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, CS First Boston, Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns among others, sharpened her excellent customer service skills providing a unique consultative approach.  Mayarani’s diverse background and knowledge propelled her career into hosting exceptional homebuying/investing educational training sessions held at adult education centers, church ministries, colleges, legislative conferences and many other national and community forums.

Mayarani is a Notary Public in the State of New Jersey. She continues to receive Customer Service Satisfaction Awards, received a Multicultural Certification for lending, a Certificate of Professional Recognition in Homebuying Education Training, including Native Homebuyer Education Methods:  Training the Trainer.  She remains an active member of the Greater Allen Cathedral Church in Jamaica, NY for over 21 years.  Awards:  Honorary Presidential Award -Dedication to NAREB; Community Service Award – the IBPO Elks of the World.  In addition to her current mortgage experience and document signing experience, she is a Certified Credit Consultant.  Mayarani holds an Associates Degree from Seton College, Yonkers, NY
